The PortaSplit Cool is the compact version launched in 2026: same split principle, same no-drill, no-permit setup, designed for bedrooms and offices up to 28 m². With 2.35 kW of cooling and SEER 6.1 (A++) it cools just as efficiently as its bigger sibling, but skips the heating function, making it lighter and more affordable.
In silent mode the indoor unit runs at just 38 dB(A), the quietest in its class. WiFi and the Midea SmartHome app let you pre-cool the room before you get home.

Does the unit fit your room?
Room sizes are guide values. Attic floors, large window areas and poor insulation reduce performance.
What does it cost to run?
A cooling season of around 200 operating hours costs about CHF 25 to 35 in electricity with this unit. The math: an average draw of 400 to 550 watts times 200 hours times 30 centimes per kWh. A typical monobloc needs more than double for the same cooling effect.

Common questions about this unit
For rooms up to about 28 m², yes, which covers most Swiss bedrooms and offices. For attic rooms, large window areas or south-facing rooms, go for the bigger PortaSplit or the 3.5 kW SplitClima S12.
The Cool cools with 2.35 kW instead of 3.5 kW, does not heat and is about 3.5 kg lighter. Mounting, A++ class and app are identical. If you only want summer cooling, the Cool saves money; if you also want heating, take the big PortaSplit or the S12.
Yes. Like all our units, nothing is drilled or permanently installed. The tenants' association confirms: mobile AC units are allowed without landlord consent as long as no structural changes are made.
At 38 dB(A) in silent mode, the Cool is the quietest unit in our range. Pre-cooling and then switching to silent is enough for the whole night in most bedrooms.
